Mint: Carson City
The Carson City Mint, built at the peak of the silver boom to facilitate minting of silver coins from silver in the Comstock Lode, was established in Carson City, Nevada. The Mint produced a variety of gold and silver coins from 1870-1892, but only produced Morgan Dollars for 13 years (1878-1885, 1889-1893), making the Carson City Morgan Dollars the lowest minted and most valuable in the series.

This 1881-CC PCGS MS-65 Morgan Silver Dollar is the 2nd lowest minted CC dollar, only 296,000 . This coin shows a unique golden brown tone on the obverse and blazing white luster and strike on the reverse. This coin graded in MS-65 holds and gains numismatic value every year.
