1887-P Morgan Silver Dollar NGC MS-65 PL

The coinage act of 1792 was entered into law on April 2nd. Within, it proclaimed the creation of the United States Mint. Philadelphia at that time was the nations capital; therefore the first mint facility was built there. The Philadelphia Mint struck Morgan Silver Dollars for 28 years, from 1878-1904 and once more in 1921.
This 1887-P NGC MS-65 PL Morgan shows a mirror surface and a rainbow rim tone on the obverse and a deep mirror surface with a rainbow crest on the reverse.
The NGC price guide lists this coin at $243.75, but the rainbow toning adds much more numismatic value.
