Buffalo Nickels Rolls Partial to no Date G-VG. James E. Fraser designed the ever popular Buffalo nickel minted from 1913-1938. These nickel pieces are known as Buffalo, Bison, or Indian Head nickels.
The 1913 featured two distinct varieties, the first type showing the bison on a mound, and the second type showing the base redesigned to a thinner, straight line. Key dates include the 1936-D and 1937-D 3-Legged and the doubled-die and over date varieties.
